James Allen- Bio
James has worked in the health and social care sector for over 30 years. He began his career working in local government before moving to the NHS where he was a responsible for the management of a range of hospital and community based facilities including services for people with a learning disability and mental health issues.
James left the NHS and has successfully operated in the independent sector. His last post before joining NCG was as the Managing Director of a leading independent provider of support and accommodation for people with a learning disabity. James was key to the establishment and growth of that organisation.
As CEO of NCG James is responsible for overseeing the continued strategic development of the organisation. His focus is on
- Ensuring NCG can always evidence the delivery of the highest quality and is focused on continuous improvement.
- Ensuring that NCG is seen as a great place to work.
- Ensuring that NCG continues to achieve sustainable and profitable growth.
- Ensuring that the values and aims of NCG are understood and that these underpin the activities of the organisation whilst at the same time maintaining the strength of the local operational brand where appropriate.
James welcomes feedback about the services for which he is responsible and is keen to ensure that both himself and senior colleagues are accessible and visible within services.
Married with two daughters, James lists amongst his other interests Norwich City, reliving his youth through his vinyl record collection and trying to keep himself fit and active
Karen Lewis- Bio
Karen is a Chartered Physiotherapist who started her career in the NHS before moving into the private medical sector.
Further to completing an MSc at Leeds Beckett University, she has held senior operations positions in the hospital and healthcare industry and prior to joining NCG, she was the Group Operations Director for Helping Hands, a national provider of homecare and live-in care, delivering 20% annual EBITDA growth which lead to a minority PE sale.
Karen has a passion to ensure that quality is embedded in all areas of operations and that the company values are demonstrated at all levels to enable the people we support to receive the best person centred care possible.
Outside of work she enjoys travelling and spending time with her family.
David Rowe-Bewick- Bio
Healthcare has been by far the most enriching sector he has worked in and being part of a team that helps vulnerable adults have the best quality life possible is hugely rewarding.
Chloé Moore- Bio
Previously, Chloé set up and managed her own Wedding & Events Company which taught her to appreciate the complexities of running a business; learning that the key to a managing a successful business was to respect every member of a team and value their input, skills and knowledge. Chloé promotes working together, trust and enables people to reach their greatest potential.
Mike Cleasby- Bio
With 29 years of experience within the care sector, Mike has the knowledge and understanding of the quality and standards required to be a successful care provider.
19 of those years were spent working within the local authority, where his responsibilities included directly managing services, which included residential and day services.
Mike played a major part in the development of the, Education, Health and Care (EHC) pathway, which was developed to support children or young person’s special educational, health and social care needs.
His past roles also included the Regional Manager and, later, Head of Quality at the Priory Group, which made him responsible for regions including, North England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
When looking for a new role, Mike was attracted by the proposition of joining a new national provider of care, and was excited on being part of NCG’s journey on becoming one of the best care providers in the UK.
As the Quality Director at National Care Group, Mike will be responsible for:
- Overseeing compliance of all regulated services
- Help embed person-centered approaches
- Help develop quality/governance systems
- Ensuring our policies are up to date
- Reviewing safeguarding , CQC notifications
In his free time, Mike is an avid runner and loves competing in half marathons across the country.
He also spends time with his family, and he believes that his eldest daughter, who has Autism, is a driving force for ensuring the quality of care required is met.

Marie Hilton- Bio
Marie has 22 years of experience working within the care sector, started as a Part time Support Worker and moved up the ranks to become Regional Operations Manager for National Group.
She has experience working for national care providers, managing multiple sites across Lancashire, Greater Manchester and Yorkshire.
As Regional Operations Manager for NCG, Marie is actively working to incorporate NCG’s values into her regional services by:
- Listening to others, respecting people’s views / input and ensuring we deliver on our objectives
- Promoting individual development and teamwork – ensuring everyone is clear on expectations
- Leading her team, learning from experiences and promoting continuous development
She is a big fan of a good drama series, film and book.
Keeley Mitchell- Bio
Keeley made a big decision to change direction with her career after working in financial services for over 11 years and in 2014 and joined the care sector.
Keeley chose this sector as she is passionate about people and care allows her to support and engage both staff and the people we care about daily.
Keeley’s care career has been working for large care organisations.
It began in domiciliary care before progressing to complex care in the home followed by live in care.
Keeley joined the team at National Care Group as Head of National Neurological Services, supporting people with Acquired Brain Injuries.
Keeley is committed to people receiving quality care and achieving positive outcomes.
Keeley enjoys the fact that every day in care there is something to smile about
Outside of work Keeley enjoys socialising with her partner and family and spending time with Romeo her dog
Jill Hopcroft- Bio
Jill has worked across a wide range of Housing and Care environments over the past 20 years with a proven track record in managing and developing high quality service delivery. Jill is a self-motivated, values driven professional committed to promoting person centred services, whilst achieving continuous improvement without compromising quality.
Holding various senior operational positions responsible for creating motivated and engaged Teams embedding “best practice” to improve and exceed overall effectiveness, performance and service standards. The customer groups have consisted of a wide range of individuals including LD, Older People, EMI, Young Adults with challenging behaviours, Clinical/Complex are, ABI and Mental Health.
Jill is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management holding qualifications in Management and Leadership, Housing Practice in supporting Independent Living, Education and Training and is an Advanced Safeguarding Champion.
In her spare time Jill focusses on keeping fit and supporting charity sporting events for various local and national charities including the Alzheimer’s Society, MIND, Cancer UK as well as raising funds to purchase two additional defibrillators for her village.
Rob Tooze- Bio
Rob has over 35 years’ experience supporting individuals and teams in the adult social care field working with people who have learning disabilities/mental health issues and personality disorders. Rob qualified as a nurse (Learning Disabilities) in1990 and has completed numerous post qualification courses since.
Rob started his career as a nursing assistant in a long stay institution in 1984 before moving into community-based services prior to his nurse training. He worked as a registered manager for 5 years before becoming a senior manager in 1995, including most recently two years as the Operations Director in a medium sized organisation.
Throughout his career Rob has always strived to ensure that services under his lead provide the best quality and life opportunities possible for the people using the service.

Matt Waskowski- Bio
Mateusz (Matt) Waskowski has more then 14 years of working with vulnerable adults in Supported Living services.
He started as a Support Worker in 2004 and progressed through various setting in Mental Health and Learning Disabilities services.
Matt moved to NCG following successful acquisition of Wellington Support Ltd which he was managing for 5 years as CQC Registered Manager.
Currently, Matt is focused on enhancing delivery of the service to all of the clients in his growing Area.
Spending time with his family, music and occasional sport activities.
