Walliscote Road welcomes Bella on her Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme
Bella, a young person based in North Somerset, is currently completing her Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award for which she needs to complete 26 hours of volunteering.
Kate Harvey, the Registered Manager of our Walliscote Road service, was approached to accommodate Bella on her mission. Kate accepted and quickly put all the procedures in place to enable Bella to volunteer as a support worker.
Bella arrives for work at Walliscote every Wednesday afternoon, and she supports some of the people supported at the service with cooking, creative activities, and cleaning.
Bella said: “I am really enjoying volunteering and hope to join the team in the future”.
