National Care Group Colleagues Come Together to Break The Bias on International Women’s Day 2022
This International Women’s Day we’re supporting the campaign to Break The Bias with the creation of the above video.
Celebrating women’s achievements and increasing visibility, while calling out inequality, is key. The campaign explores all the ways in which we can do more to make that happen, with ideas mentioned in the statements of our video.
Colleagues from a range of departments including Chief Executive James Allen, People Director Claire Leake, Springvale’s Registered Manager Michelle Palmer and various colleagues from the People and Marketing Teams came together to take it in turns to read a statement and idea on how we can all do our bit to Break The Bias.
As concluded by our People Director, Claire Leake, whether deliberate or unconscious, bias makes it difficult for women to move ahead. Knowing that bias exists isn’t enough, action is needed to level the playing field. National Care Group is incredibly proud to celebrate and take part in the fantastic activities International Women’s Day has organised this year.
Diversity and inclusion are so important, and the recent launch of our new colleague forum demonstrates our commitment to being positive advocates for change and to make sure we create a diverse business with equal opportunities for all.
Together let’s #breakthebias!
