THE TRAINING TEAM UP-SKILL SUPPORT FUNCTION COLLEAGUES TO WORK IN SERVICE
You may have heard the news that we are currently recruiting internal support function colleagues to volunteer to join our new Covid Response: Reserve Support Team.
The aim of this team is to ensure we can maintain safe resourcing levels within services to mitigate the impact of the new Covid-19 variant, Omicron, and the high level of quality care and support provided at each service.
Whilst operational colleagues continue to do a stellar job in managing the services, the impact of Omicron on colleague absence is of growing concern so we are offering support function teams including the accounts, IT, commercial, facilities, quality and the people teams, the opportunity to support services on the ground should the need arise. The opportunity is also a brilliant opportunity for colleagues to enhance their skills and unlock the full potential of their career in social care.
The Training Team have sprung into action by writing and rolling out the brand new rapid response induction programme to provide colleagues with the basic skills they need to work in service, supporting the local registered managers wherever possible.
Caught on Zoom above are the first group to go through the new training programme, demonstrating effective hand washing! With many more sessions to come over the next few weeks due to the number of volunteers who have already come forward.
For more information on training sessions and the opportunity in general, colleagues should email Roxanne Blamire in the people team: Roxanne.Blamire@nationalcaregroup.com
