NCG Best Practice Pocket Guides

Born out of an idea and suggestion by one of our brilliant colleagues from our Acquired Brain Injury service in Preston, the new National Care Group Best Practice Pocket Guides act as handy prompts and reminders on some key topics including safeguarding, infection control, the mental capacity act/DoLS, health and social care regulations, closed cultures, making a complaint and the National Care Group company values.

Designed and printed in short, snappy, bite sized guides on each topic, they’re a great resource for existing colleagues and new starters. They have been produced with a tag to attach to lanyards or keyrings – especially useful for when colleagues are busy delivering every day roles and duties.

Mike Cleasby, Quality Director, said “The new pocket guides are an excellent and innovative idea designed and used by our teams around the country. We worked with members of our Best Practice and Innovations Group to develop the guide from the idea stage through to production, which so far have been welcomed by our services. I hope they continue to act as a useful tool and ideal reminder of both our company values and on key areas of guidance”.

Services who haven’t had an allocation of the pocket guides or want to order more should get in touch with their Area Operations Manager to arrange delivery.
