Katie wins our Easter Competition
National Care Group are pleased to announce that Katie Hiscox, an individual we support at Affinity Supporting People, has won our ‘Eggcellent Easter Competition’ with her Easter themed bonnet!
The competition, which was launched on March 15th, aimed to put the creativity of our colleagues and the people we support to the test for a chance to win a cash prize and promote participation in a range of activities during the lockdown period.
We were pleased to receive over 120 entries, ranging from colourful Easter eggs to flowery bonnets, from our services across England and Wales, with the majority of participants being the people we support!
This included Katie Hiscox, who’s Easter Rabbit inspired bonnet, featuring some colourful flowers and topped off with a lovely rabbit was chosen as the winner of our competition by our judges.
Karen Lewis, Chief Operations Officer, was delighted for Katie: “I would like to congratulate Katie on winning the Easter Competition, thanks to her unique design, the judges found it to be the best from an already high quality bunch.”
As the winner, Katie will receive a £100 Love2Shop voucher and box of chocolates for her to enjoy!
The 2nd and 3rd place runners up – Amy Rabetts, Affinity Supporting People, and Sarah Treacy, Zack Burton and Ryan Holmes, Shelton Care Group, will also be receiving a cash prize and some treats too.
“To have two entries from Affinity Supporting People be winners is a fantastic achievement,” said Marie Hilton, Regional Operations Manager. “It is an example of the amazing work being done at the service and I am delighted to see Katie and Amy winning the competition!”
The competition has been able to capture the innovative and creative approach National Care Group have taken to promote active participation and encourage our services, across England and Wales, to spread some positivity during these challenging times.
