Values Wednesday: Jason takes part in training

Every Wednesday, NCG will be posting a story that reflects one of our four core values:

Passion I Empowerment I Respect I Collaboration

The story could feature a staff member or an individual we support doing something that resonates with our company values and best shows the amazing work our services do on a regular basis.

For today’s blog, we are featuring Jason, who was ‘Empowered’ to take part in training that was taking place at his service.

Staff at Endurance Care were attending their Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) training, when Jason Leftley, an individual we support, asked if he could get involved in some of the practical exercises.

Our trainer was very happy for Jason to take part and showed him how to perform a variety of potentially lifesaving procedures, including CPR and recovery positions.

He even had staff applying bandages on him!

Jason is one of the many examples we have of promoting active participation at NCG, we are always looking to find ways where the people we support can get involved and be a valued member at our care services.

Empowering the people, we support to live rewarding lives is exactly what we aim to achieve and we are delighted that Jason was given that opportunity!
