National Care Group and our care services across the country organised their own Coffee Morning for the Macmillan Cancer Support Charity.
National Care Group: Coffee Morning held at Head Office
Staff at the Head Office got involved by decorating the kitchen and displaying cakes and biscuits for everyone to enjoy.
There were even some specially designed National Care Group biscuits on offer, whilst Jessika Houlker, Recruiter, brought in a freshly baked cake as well!
We raised a total of £70.24 for the charity.
Highlea Care: Rosslyn House
Staff and the people we support helped to organise a coffee morning at the home.
People we support brought in their own bakes and everyone got involved!
A total of £100.67 was raised!
A great achievement but most of all, everyone had fun doing it.
Shelton Care Group: Oak House
Oak House held its very own Bake-Off event for Douglas Macmillan Hospice. Set for 12pm everyone in the unit had been baking either the night before or all morning to make tasty treats for fellow service users and staff.
As a unit Oak House raised an amazing £80.60 for the charity.
Leslie Tomkinson, an individual we support at Shelton, said: “I thought it was great to get together and have a chat and look forward to doing these events more often.”
Want to host a Macmillan Coffee Morning?
The coffee morning has been so popular amongst our care services, and we believe it would be great if more of our services got involved.
