Our Initiative

As a care provider to adults with complex and challenging needs, we understand the importance of making a positive difference to the lives of those who need it most. NCG and our services have launched and supported several initiatives to help give back to the community and charities who are supporting a cause that we believe is close to us.

Since December 2018, NCG and our services have raised a total of £3599.68

Every penny raised was a collaborative effort, with staff and the people we support organizing fundraising events such as coffee mornings, parties, cake sales, dressing up and many more for the following charities…

  • Macmillan Cancer Support
  • Save the Children
  • Children in Need
  • Comic Relief
  • Headway
  • Wear a Hat Day
  • Douglas Macmillan Hospice
  • Alice
  • Little Buddies

Donating to an important causehospice 3

During the festive period, National Care Group got involved in the ‘Spirit of Giving’ by donating gifts in total of £2,000 to a range of charities and hospices across the country.

Gifts included toys, games, toiletries and items that the people being treated would find useful and enjoyable.

Each of our services visited the hospices along with individuals they support to personally deliver to their local charities, hospices or causes that meant the most to them.

We have also invested £10,000 in sponsoring the Accrington Stanley Community Trust, a charity created by Accrington Stanley Football Club (North West) that works in 4 key
themed areas: Education, Health and Wellbeing and Social Inclusion.

The charity supports over 10,000 people across East Lancashire, playing an important role in addressing major social issues such as, anti-social behaviour, health,
unemployment and obesity.

k sports fcAs principal sponsors, we are supporting the charity in the development of a new Community Sports Hub facility, which will further increase participation in sporting activities within the area and provide more opportunities for the community.

Within the South East region, NCG sponsored K Sport Football Club, with an investment of £500, and as part of the sponsorship, the NCG logo was placed on the football clubs training kit and on the K Sport FC official website.

In addition to this, K Sports FC Midfielder and Regional Operations Manager for NCG, Jason Perry, also received an £80 investment as part of the ‘Sponsor a Player’ scheme.

How can you get involved?

We are encouraging all our services and staff to get involved and support any local or national charitable events that are taking place throughout the year and be creative with the fundraising activities.

Why not organise an event in which the staff, the people we support, and even members of the community can get involved in and help raise money for a great cause?

We would love to share your fundraising stories, please take plenty of photos and send them across to media@nationalcaregroup.com

The area which raises the most money will be recognised at the Annual NCG Awards 2020 – Happy Fundraising!

We want to shout out about all the amazing work that our services are doing and what causes they are raising money for, so remember to send stories across for them to feature in our newsletter and intranet!
