The Staff Well-being page on the intranet is a dedicated hub for all staff to access our wide range of well-being resources and products available for them to cope better with their mental health and well-being.

Mental Well-being

Stat of the Week: 1 in 4 people in the UK will experience mental ill health every year

Mental well-being describes your mental state, which can vary from day to day or situation to situation.

To support you with your mental well-being, or be able to identify the signs of mental ill health, we have developed the Mental Well-being page.

The page provides you with resources from industry professionals such as Mind and The Mental Health Foundation, detailed about our Employee Assistance Programme powered by Health Assured, and a full break down of the work NCG are doing to help all our staff with their mental health.

There are several reasons why physical activity is great for your body and also for your mind.

Whilst exercise or physical activity in general helps to lose weight and make you feel more physically fit, it also is scientifically proven to boost your self-esteem, sleep quality and energy – helping to reduce the risks of stress and depression.

Financial Well-being

Stat of the Week: Financial troubles cause stress for over 40% of the UK population

Financial security is an important part of everyone’s life, we want to be able to support our families, pay our bills on time and have a financially healthy future for ourselves.

To help you with this, the Financial Well-being page is dedicated to help you receive expert advice and support on aspects such as managing debt, how to have a sustainable financial plan and how to budget.

We are also taking this opportunity to introduce you to external forms of support that is available to you, including finding out whether you’re eligible for Tax-Free Childcare and how you can gain further financial advice with the launch of Salary Finance in the coming weeks.
