Sean Bidewell, Support Worker at The Willows, is raising money to help with the renovation of the properties communal area in order to make it a more therapeutic environment.
The money raised would be spent on ensuring the area has new seating, a screen for residents to watch movies and better storage areas as some of the residents like to do arts and crafts.
To finish off, the area will be redecorated to appear more comforting and welcoming for all of the 19 residents.
Sean is looking forward to seeing the communal area making a positive impact to the lives of the people we support:
The area has so much potential to be a place of enjoyment for the people we support and I would love it so much if any support could be given in helping us provide everyone here with a place they keep wanting to come back to because they like being there so much.
Sean is hoping to raise £1,000 within 3 months, or £500 after 6 months to help with the renovation.
To help with the fundraiser, Sean has pledged to shave his head once he has reached one of those targets!
